A virtual beer tasting is a fun team event where a brewer or beer expert will curate an event with multiple beers and engage the participants while teaching them about beer. The event hosts will teach participants about the beers they received, the differences between different types of beer, and what pairs well with each type of beer or beer trivia. The virtual beer tasting experience typically lasts about 1 hour.
Can I choose the beers for a virtual beer tasting?
The host of the beer tasting experience will choose the beers for the tasting and ship them to all participants. Usually, these beers are considered craft beers and not brewed by one of the very large breweries. Certain events may specify in the listing which type of beer will be shipped although the exact types may not be revealed beforehand.
Do I have to get the beers for a virtual beer tasting?
Most virtual beer tasting experiences will provide the beers to participants. This ensures that all participants are able to taste the same beers which create a more engaging experience. The organizer of the event is responsible for providing a list of participants to the host so that they are able to ship in time for the event, typically at least 2 weeks prior to the event date.
Will the Host ship beer to my location?
It depends on the event. We have lots of events that will ship a virtual beer tasting kit to all of your guest’s locations. The delivery will require someone who is 21+ years of age to receive and sign for the shipment.
